Welcome to easyDNS

This site provides Dynamic DNS solutions for Bell Canada customers.

What is Dynamic DNS?

Dynamic DNS is the term used to describe the process by which users operating computers on the Internet may map a domain name to their system even if it does not reside on a static IP address.

With Bell's Business Internet High Speed Service, your computer is assigned a different IP address each time it connects to the Internet. Dynamic DNS enables High Speed subscribers to operate Internet services such as web servers on their computers even if their IP address changes. It provides a static presence on the Internet, in the form of a domain name instead of a static IP address, so that these servers can always be located.

Dynamic DNS Support

Dynamic DNS support is included with all domain name packages offered by us. Bell High Speed subscribers can currently use dynamic DNS clients from a variety of vendors to use these features with their own domain names via this website, which has been set up exclusively for Bell High Speed subscribers.

If you are looking for SMTP port forwarding...

The bell.easyDNS.ca interface does not support port forwarding to non-standard ports for web and mail servers. If you require forwarding to a non-standard port please visit http://www.easydns.com and sign up for an account at any of the account sign up stages throughout the site.

For more information on non-standard port forwarding for a mail server with easyDNS please visit http://support.easydns.com/tutorials/Portforwarding/.

If you need to register a domain name...

You can choose either our "Domain + DNS" value package or our "Domain + DNS Plus" value package and get a new domain name bundled with support for Dynamic DNS. Then, simply download and install a dynamic DNS client from our site and your domain will automatically update when your IP address changes.

If you already have a domain name...

If you have already registered your domain name with another registrar or domain registration company, you can still get Dynamic DNS service for your domain name.

You can transfer your domain name to us, and choose either our "Domain + DNS" value package or our "Domain + DNS Plus" value package. Don't worry: when you transfer a domain to us, you won't lose any time for which you've already paid your previous registrar.

Or, you can keep your domain name with your current registrar and just sign up for our DNS or DNS Plus service.
